Commitment
I agree I will:
- Be willing to attend
league meetings when requested to do so.
- Be in attendance at
all games, or if not, have a designated approved coach substitute in
attendance. Notification of substitution must be made to Coach Coordinator,
and or league President prior to scheduled game.
- Make a commitment to
complete the scheduled games for the season.
- Be fully equipped at
all games.
- Be willing to attend
necessary clinics to attain license for level required by league/district.
- Be responsible for
rules and safety.
- Be willing to learn
more about soccer and how to teach your team the proper skills to play the
game.
- Be willing to
participate in league functions, i.e. Opening Ceremonies, work days at the
fields, fundraising, promotions, picture day, clinics, and Closing day
ceremonies.
- Be willing to handle
the administrative requirements of the team, i.e. obtain accurate team
rosters, submit player cards, distribute uniforms, and in general keep your
team informed.
- Be willing to spend
the necessary time with your team. Necessary practice time is deemed by the
age group and set league rules.
- Be responsible for
proper safeguarding, and use of all league equipment, and facilities. You will
be required to turn in all equipment with in 10 days of the last regulation
game.
- Be willing to
maintain and teach players and parents fair play, good sportsmanship, team
play, and respect for the opponent, other referees, coaches, and all league
personnel.
- Be respectful of all
referees, whether you feel they made a bad call or not. Always conduct
yourself in an adult manner and remember that both teams’ eyes are on you. Set
a good example fir them.
- Be willing to learn
and abide by the Lake Havasu Soccer League and District rules and regulations.
Also be willing to accept decisions handed down by the board.
- Inspect all team
players and field for safety prior to each game. Report and significant
problems to league officials.
- Understand that
public use of inappropriate language, use of alcoholic beverages, and smoking
while coaching, and of refereeing is not acceptable and prohibited. (Also
pertains to anyone who is participating with the league activities.)
- At any time a
potential or existing referee may be requested by the board to be
fingerprinted and registered with our local law authorities. Refusal to comply
will result in immediate dismissal from all LHSL functions.
- Be willing to take
any problem with other coaches/referees/parents, ect. To the Board of
Directors for proper handling.
- Keep in mind at all
times that this is a recreational league, and that this program is for our
youth and not for personal gain.
